If you don't want the extra storage enough to pay for it, I don't understand why you would be so upset about it not being free, or cheaper.

If it's not worth the money, why is it worth getting angry over?

In game advantage from out of game means?

So that is 4.95 Pound Sterling (GBP) and converts to 8.80 Australian Dollar (AUD) plus my banks international CC fees of about $5.00. at today's exchange rate.
$13.80 Au per pane Still over priced when I can get Profs chapter for $10.00 at the local store.
Or $40.20 Au for all 4 panes.
Yes I know the panes are convenient on an account saving swap trading between accounts but still cost wise it's cheaper to buy a new game.
If it was 50% then I might get all 4 panes and store all nicks stuff he may need. lol

Sure, I could understand an uproar over buying pvp buffs or better armor or somesuch, I'm not seeing how additional storage is especially advantageous.
I don't mean to play at semantics or anything, but I do feel that there is a big difference between convenience and advantage.

Here we go again with storage panes vs mule... buy what you want and stop QQing about it.

Yes, we get more storage per dollar if we buy an account or char slot. WE KNOW ALREADY.

But the point of buying storage panes is NOT for more storage - despite the name. We all bought as many mules as we wanted YEARS ago. Before extra storage panes even existed.

We didn't need MORE storage. We needed more convenient access to stuff we were ALREADY storing. THAT was the point of storage panes :-P

If you don't need that convenience, you don't need to pay for it.

I just dont see it as so inconvenient that Id give up 25 slots, just so I dont have to hit F12, C, then select a character, and hit F12, C again if they didnt have what I wanted.

And yes, no QQing! Let Anet do whatever they want, and learn to like it, even if it sucks.

Ill pass on that.

I can show you the GW, Factions, Nightfall and GWEN CD's I have bought. They exist.

Hmmmm...came here wondering why someone would resurrect a thread from 10th July, and found a thread with all the same arguments from months ago about buying storage. If you want/need it, then buy it. If you don't want/need it, don't buy it.

Of course you can. But some people bought their campaigns online - what now?

For that matter, the CD doesn't even do anything beyond provide you with the free game software and some of the free .dat info. The account (a purely virtual product) is not tied to the CD.

Your CD is just a bit of data to boost you on downloading the game. Would you feel better about online storage if they mailed you a ticket/cd/whatever when you bought it?

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that made Murakai, Lady of the Night use the skill "Murakai's Call" incorrectly, causing her to spawn an infinite number of allies.

Another thing I noticed while idling on the login screen was that when the title music was done playing, the first 3 seconds of the nightfall theme started to play o.O It's probably nothing significant though :P
...none of which are newsworthy though, so it's pretty much about storage and/or a debate over virtual vs. not.

QFT.

Cost now for a single pane is roughly 6.50€.
At the same price of a single storage pane I just bought a new original copy of Alone In The Dark for my x360.

Try reading the entire post rather then just cherry pick the first sentance in it.

Basically, we have already had this argument. Yes its overpriced, yes people want them for free (but that would tick off all the people who did pay for it so that will never happen), get over it.

I do believe the game is an intellectual property. Otherwise they should give boxes for free, since we pay only for the CD-Keys and we dont need the CDs.

Also, you do need a cd-key.

I still haven't gotten my free pane, not buying one, at any price.

My god what a bunch of QQ's. The game has no subscription of course they will have to charge for Premium type additions. Storage is ALWAYS considered a premium service in all games I have played. Just cause you would prefer to but another mule dosen't meant the rest of us would. More over just buy the mule no point in making yet another post concerning Item transactions, it's all been QQ'd/said before. Freaking ingrates can't be happy for what you have, can't appreciate the work others do. If you don't like it, leave, No One Will Miss You.

I'll buy some when they'll hit 75% off.

If you need the panes, buy them. What is really the big deal here? I bought them all before this discount hit and I'm glad I did it. Not only do I have the benefit of freeing up space on alts I got to support Anet financially on a game I play for free in a landscape otherwise full of pay-to-play games. Are they overpriced? Probably. If a few microtransactions keeps them afloat though I am all for it.

Now if panes were 75% off I might buy a few. Truth be told, I'd prefer $9.99 = the whole set.
